What player would we be targeting?
If Kovelchuck is the guy your thinking of, I'd be a little concerned. In his previous twelve seasons in the NHL, Kovalchuk tallied a whopping -111 in plus/minus. In fact, 10 of his 12 seasons he was a minus player on the ice. The Oilers already have a lot of issues defensively.
I think there are better options out there for us and less expensive. Maybe a guy like Ennis or Sheary.

Meh, he is 12 points and +6 in 16 games, playing for Montreal. His contract is dirt cheap, and the cost to acquire him would be fairly small, probably the same as someone like Ennis. I definitely don't want a Sheary.
